Wellbeing for the Individual

2017 Winner: Chloe Still

Chloe designed and implemented ‘The Mind and Body Programme’ in Kent, Cornwall and Lancashire.

Delivered in schools and the wider community, the multi-component programme supports young people who are involved in, or vulnerable to, self-harming behaviours.

This is the first intervention of its kind and has gone made headway in breaking down stigma surrounding mental health.

Inspiring Wellbeing Award for the Workplace 2017

Winner: Foster + Partners

Foster + Partners implemented a company-wide wellbeing strategy to combat stress. The strategy includes health checks, mindfulness workshops and relaxation initiative and saw a decrease in employee absence, increase in engagement and highly positive feedback from staff.

Wellbeing in the Community

Winner: Garden Organic’s Golding Growing Buddies project

Garden Organic is the UK’s leading growing charity. This year they launched Golding Growing Buddies to improve the wellbeing of Housing Association, Golding Homes’ residents, but encouraging individuals and community to grow their own food. Three new gardens have been developed in previously ‘unloved’ community spaces.

2017 Winner: Kier Ltd

Kier Ltd has empowered its employees by introducing a health champions programme.

At date of entry Kier Ltd had 89 health champions on it’s books to offer invaluable support and advice to staff, through initiatives such a health testing for staff they engage and inform their team.
